covers for "brand eins", a business magazine. this is a school exercise, where we had to design already existing cover, you can see the original one here. the main theme of the issue is trust (Vertrauen), and the moto is "all under control". this issue is about how we trust to companies we buy from, who to trust in business and etc.

the front cover:
(when the confidence is justified)

 back cover:
(when the confidence is misplaced)

the last school day before the christmas holidays, wish this day wouldn't have come. the uni is closed, so this is the time to do what i've been procrastinating till now, things like typography and corporate design.

on friday i made some screen prints. just a personal work based on two sketches i drew on my last day in Russia. i probably have to do more serious things (things that i actually study like branding and digital design), otherwise i risk to die of starvation. people say so. however, it's so much fun to print!
i don't use computer to prepare layers on the screen, i draw them by hand with ink on transparent paper. so the whole process is analogical and it works as film camera: even for me it's a surprise what comes out at the end.

just as they say, behind every great silkscreen there's great woman, haha! enjoy the holidays! love.

..

last two weeks I got hooked on etching! never did it before, however i feel it's totally my technique. i sold some of them last week on a christmas market in the uni, and it was sooo exciting: the first time i was selling something i did. and more than that, it worked pretty good. that was my christmas present. i don't usually celebrate christmas but not this year, haha! oh digga it feels so nice here.

sweet memories from Barcelona, where Sasha and i slept in the street for three nights, and walked so much around that my feet hurt like a hell so Sasha had to carry me as i was a backpack. it was the beginning of a great summer and the coolest trip in my life. i have occidentally found this picture, it was my last day in Spain before going to France and then to Russia and after to Germany. it still seems a bit like this trip is not finished.

i've been studying in Hildesheim more than for a month and probably i should write something about my German university, HAWK. it's the name, and it has nothing to do with the bird. Hildesheim is so different from any other place where i have stayed for a long time. it's so small. and also it's the northternmost town i've been ever living in. it's very cloudy here, and the clouds look heavy. and my whole existence suddenly feels so heavy, too. last three years i was trying to get used to the Madridian sun, i succeeded in liking it but sometimes i couldn't help getting tired of it as well. that seemed too sunny, too bright and too happy at times. here, in the north i feel more home, though the weather is not welcoming. my german sucks pretty much so far, but it's okay for the moment.

here is the project of ecological milk packaging for the illustration class i'm taking here. it's so funny and cool... the class, not the design. hm. but yes. design is funny too. also published on my Behance portfolio

i have just arrived from Hongkong, sooo different from China I know! full of beautiful people and stuff i would never think was for eating, and so fresh but hot.

i still haven't got a visa to go to Germany, it's such a bureaucratic hell i'm passing through right now. my parents have started to blame me because all this trip is getting too expensive. but still i'm looking forward to see the end of this story and finally go to Hildesheim, yo! and work HARD (should pronounce it with a strongly marked O) and do so many interesting things together with the guys from my future university, woo!
here are some reflections about the real Russia trip i made visiting Sasha's grandma, just before leaving to HK.

if someone wanna buy me a good scanner, i will receive this present with pleasure, seriously.
eat tomatoes! kitty cats! summertime is not over!
